IAABC Plagiarism Policy

All responses on IAABC applications (including definitions, case studies, and examples) must be entirely original in content. Plagiarized work will not be evaluated, and applications found to contain plagiarized material will be rejected.

Plagiarism is defined as submitting as one's own work, whether or not you intend to deceive, that which derives in part or in its entirety from the work of others without citation. This includes, "anonymous” work such as definitions found on Google or in blog posts.

Examples of plagiarism include:

Quoting verbatim from another person's work without providing a reference

Paraphrasing another person’s work by changing some of the words, or the order of the words

Cutting and pasting from the internet

Submitting work derived from work done with another person, without citation

Employing or otherwise engaging another person to write, edit, alter or revise your work

The use of Artificial Intelligence technology to compose any part of the content submitted

Random applications, and all applications suspected of plagiarism, are put through multiple plagiarism checkers.
