Ética en la Consultoría de Conducta  

La Asociación Internacional de Consultores de Conducta Animal sostiene que la ética en la consultoría de conducta animal es multifacética e involucra consideraciones a través de múltiples áreas éticas, incluyendo (pero no limitado a) la ética animal, la ética empresarial y profesional, la educación y las leyes vigentes. Como organización internacional, la IAABC reconoce que los valores y las prácticas en torno a los animales y la consultoría de conducta animal son diversos y variados. La IAABC apoya a sus miembros en la creación y promoción de principios éticos de vanguardia en la industria y la orientación de las mejores prácticas para la consultoría de conducta animal.
 
La ética es una disciplina dedicada a la justificación racional de las creencias sobre el bien y el mal, y a la descripción y orientación de cómo deben actuar los seres humanos de acuerdo con las normas racionales de lo correcto y lo incorrecto. La ética no se limita a las acciones aceptadas por una sociedad concreta o sus leyes. La ética va más allá de las normas sociales y busca puntos comunes en los valores, las intenciones y los efectos de las acciones. Estos elementos comunes conforman nuestro enfoque de principios de ética en la consultoría de conducta.
