The IAABC welcomes individuals aged 18 and older, as well as organizations, to our international community of animal behavior professionals. Whether you're beginning your career, studying, or running a business, we offer membership options to support your professional journey. Members who wish to pursue an IAABC professional credential can also begin that process through Supporting Membership.

All IAABC members must read, agree to, and follow the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Please review both before applying for membership.

Membership Options

Supporting Membership

$100 USD per year

Open to individuals aged 18 and older who want to be part of the IAABC professional community.

Supporting Members can maintain their membership for as long as they wish without pursuing a credential. Those interested in professional credentialing may also apply for an IAABC credential through this membership level.

Credentialed Membership

$150 USD per year

For members who successfully pass an IAABC professional exam and earn an IAABC credential.

Provides professional recognition, full membership benefits, and permission to use earned IAABC credentials.

Supporting Members who earn a credential automatically transition to Credentialed Membership. Credentialing is optional for Supporting Members.

Student Membership

$50 USD per year

For individuals enrolled in a qualifying academic or trade program related to animal behavior. Proof of enrollment is required.

Includes most Supporting Member benefits, excluding voting rights.

Organizational Membership

$275 USD per year

For legally operating businesses and nonprofit organizations.

Includes one Supporting Membership, a 25% discount on additional staff memberships, credentialing discounts, and permission to use IAABC organizational branding.

Financial Assistance

Barbara Davis Memorial Fund

The Barbara Davis Memorial Fund allows our community to support past, current, and prospective members who need financial assistance with membership dues or credential application fees.

Applications are reviewed individually on a first-come, first-served basis, considering demonstrated need and how the assistance will support the applicant's professional work.

Apply for Financial Assistance

To contribute to the fund, log in to your membership account and select Renew. You can make a donation during renewal. The suggested amount is $25 USD, but any amount is appreciated.

Our Equitable Pricing Program helps make membership more accessible by adjusting fees based on regional economic conditions and earning potential.

Refund Policy
